Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £26,000 – £30,000 per annum + discretionary bonus + full study support
Qualifications: Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (CII) or DipFA (LIBF) – study support provided

About the Role

We are looking for an ambitious and ethical individual to join our team as a Trainee Financial Adviser. This is a graduate-level role offering full sponsorship for a Level 4 FCA-recognised qualification, beginning with the core module in UK Financial Regulation.

You will work alongside qualified advisers and paraplanners, supporting them with research, reporting and compliance tasks, while progressing through your regulatory exams. With structured support and training, you'll develop the knowledge and skills required to provide financial advice to clients in accordance with FCA guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation of client suitability reports, investment research, and recommendation documentation
  • Assist with fact-finding and gathering client information in line with compliance procedures
  • Liaise with product providers, platforms, and internal teams to ensure accurate administration
  • Maintain detailed and compliant records of all client interactions and advice given
  • Stay up to date with FCA rules, product knowledge, and financial services regulation
  • Begin studies with UK Financial Regulation (CII R01 or LIBF FSRE), with support provided
  • Shadow advisers in client meetings to develop practical knowledge of advisory practice

Candidate Requirements

Essential:

  • A degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Law, or related subject (minimum 2:2 or equivalent)
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Keen interest in personal finance, wealth management, and ethical advice
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Willingness to work towards the Level 4 Diploma and gain Competent Adviser Status (CAS)
  • Right to work in the UK

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with UK pensions, investments, or protection products
  • Experience in a customer-facing or administrative financial services role

Knowledge of FCA regulation or progress on CII R01 / LIBF FSRE
